The 29th edition of the US Trade Show is poised to kick off in the capital city on May 9th.
It will showcase American products and services in Bangladesh, fostering bilateral trade relations between the two nations.
Over three days, the trade show will feature a diverse array of over 100 US products, represented by 44 exhibitors from both domestic and international arenas.
Syed Ershad Ahmed, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham), announced these details during a media briefing held today at InterContinental Dhaka, where preparations for the event were discussed.
Jointly organized by AmCham and the US Embassy in Dhaka, the trade show aims to provide a platform for American businesses to engage with the Bangladeshi market and explore avenues for collaboration and investment.
With the participation of a wide range of exhibitors, the event promises to attract thousands of visitors keen on exploring the latest offerings from the United States.
The trade show will welcome visitors from 10 am to 8 pm daily, with an entry fee of Tk 30 per person. Students, either in uniform or with valid identity cards, will enjoy complimentary access to the event, fostering inclusivity and encouraging youth engagement.
Since its inception in 1992, the US Trade Show has evolved into Bangladesh’s premier annual business event, serving as a catalyst for fostering economic ties between the two nations. This year’s edition will be inaugurated by Salman Fazlur Rahman, the Private Industry and Investment Adviser to the Prime Minister.
John Fay, Commercial Counsellor of the US Embassy in Dhaka, highlighted the importance of the trade show in showcasing high-quality American products in Bangladesh. He emphasized its role in strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries, reflecting a mutual commitment to fostering trade and investment opportunities.
