Startup Bangladesh Limited, a government-backed venture capital firm, invested BDT 111 million over the past six months, as revealed in a press release.
Between September 2024 and January 2025, the firm disbursed BDT 90.25 million to nine startups, including Ten Minute School, Sheba Platform, and ShareTrip, alongside early-stage ventures like ParentsCare and Dubotech Digital.
Additional recipients include Sokrio Technologies, English Champ, Area71 Venture, and Booktionary, reflecting the firm’s commitment to fostering innovation. With a focus on social and environmental impact, Startup Bangladesh aligns its investments with UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Discussions are also underway to establish a ‘Fund of Funds’ to support fintech, healthcare, and education sectors, expected to be announced soon. Shish Haider Chowdhury, Chairman of Startup Bangladesh, emphasized the initiative’s potential to transform the country into a global digital innovation hub.
