The inaugural Saudi Water Expo is set to take place alongside the second Saudi Infrastructure Expo from September 11 to 13 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The event, organized by dmg events and the Saudi Contractors Authority, aims to bring together 200 local and international exhibitors, including suppliers and manufacturers, to spearhead a transformation in the Kingdom’s infrastructure landscape.

Attracting government bodies, major projects, developers, consultants, architects, utility service providers, tech giants, and procurement professionals, the three-day expo will be a crucial platform to discuss and showcase the latest advancements and solutions in the water industry.

Topics of focus will include desalination plants, water management, water supply solutions, water technology, drainage systems, sewage water technology, water treatment, soil protection, recycling, and drilling technology.

With limited freshwater resources, water scarcity remains a stark reality in the Gulf region. Ensuring sustainable access to potable water is a high priority for Saudi Arabia, especially as it advances its transformative goals under Vision 2030, prioritizing infrastructure and urban planning.

The event will assemble thought leaders, industry experts, and practitioners to align efforts in achieving Vision 2030’s ambitious national water strategy and catalyze a transformational shift in the country’s infrastructure and water landscape.

Muhammed Kazi, vice president of construction at dmg events, expressed optimism about the expo’s impact, building upon the success of its previous iteration in 2022.

This year’s Saudi Infra Expo promises to be bigger and better, encompassing many infrastructure sectors.

With a strong focus on supporting the nation’s plans for $80 billion worth of water projects, the Saudi Water Expo will host leading companies from the sector, offering them a platform to showcase their innovative products and services.

Among the participants are the Saudi-based National Water Works Co. specializes in water pumping systems, and Al-Watania for Industries Co., a flag-bearer in product packaging and building materials.

The expo will see participation from over 200 companies hailing from 22 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Jordan, the US, the UK, and Malaysia. Numerous products will be represented, including urban connectivity, utilities, smart technology, desalination, water technology, and waste management.

Eight national pavilions will be featured, representing countries such as Egypt, China, the UAE, Qatar, Italy, Turkey, Germany, and India. Local Saudi Arabian companies, including Abdullah Al-Jared Trading Co., Samnan Holding Group, and Al-Rawaf Contracting Co., will also display their innovative offerings at the expo.

Prominent names in Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure and water sector, such as Al-Bawani, ENGIE, TASNEE, Saudi Pan Kingdom Co., WhiteHelmet, and Enowa by NEOM, are anticipated to make their debut at this prestigious event.

The Saudi Water Expo 2023 promises to be a significant gathering of industry players and experts working towards addressing water scarcity and fostering a sustainable and transformative future for Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure.
