Power Grid Bangladesh achieved a 14% year-on-year revenue increase to Tk 27.85 billion in FY24, despite incurring a net loss of Tk 4.57 billion, down from Tk 7.20 billion in the previous fiscal year. Loss per share improved to Tk 5.01, compared to Tk 10.11 previously.
The company’s total income rose by 12.52%, while expenses increased by just 2%, reducing the net loss by Tk 2.63 billion. Net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) climbed slightly to Tk 12.86, attributed to higher customer cash receipts and reduced tax payments.
However, no dividend was recommended for FY24, and the company posted a Q1 FY25 loss of Tk 2.56 billion, with a loss per share of Tk 2.81, driven by higher expenses relative to income. Shares dropped 13% to Tk 34.3 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange today.
