The price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder has been reduced to Tk 1,450 for March, down Tk 28 from last month’s Tk 1,478, effective from 6:00 pm on March 3, according to the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).
The per kg price of LP gas has been adjusted to Tk 120.81, a decrease of Tk 2.35 from Tk 123.16. Prices for other cylinder sizes (ranging from 5.5 kg to 45 kg) will also be lowered accordingly.
Additionally, the price of auto gas—LPG used for motor vehicles—has been set at Tk 66.43 per litre, down from Tk 67.78.
However, the price of LPG sold by the state-owned LP Gas Company will remain unchanged, as it is produced locally and holds a market share of less than 5 percent.
LPG prices in Bangladesh peaked at Tk 1,498 per 12-kg cylinder in February 2023.
