The Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) has launched a new mobile application, ‘MyICB-Biniyog Hather Muthoy,’ designed to integrate the services of ICB and its three subsidiaries. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of investor services, streamline processes, and provide easy access to various office services.
The new app, available on the Android operating system, can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. It offers user-friendly functionality and supports both Bangla and English languages, making it accessible to many users.
The app features four distinct icons representing ICB and its three subsidiaries: ICB Asset Management Company Ltd (IAMCL), ICB Capital Management Ltd (ICML), and ICB Securities Trading Company Ltd (ISTCL).
ICB has undertaken several initiatives to transform into a technology and knowledge-based institution, leveraging 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies. The launch of this mobile app is a significant step in this direction, promising to save investors time, money, and labor.
The ‘MyICB’ app allows investors to access various services from the comfort of their homes. Key features include downloading tax and investment certificates, renewing loans, extending loan tenures, and accessing account statements for advances against units.
Additionally, investors can use an in-app calculator to determine the loan amount available against their units.
Investors can also transfer and deposit money into their investment accounts and against their ICB unit registration numbers using bank accounts and mobile financial services. This feature enhances the convenience of managing investments remotely.
ICB plans to continuously improve the app’s service features, aligning with the evolving technological landscape. Future enhancements include the introduction of artificial intelligence for personalized investment advice, predicting market trends, and optimizing portfolios based on individual investor profiles.
