Chittagong University Debating Society (CUDS) is set to host the “CUDS National Debate Festival 2024” on October 25-26 at Chittagong University (CU).

Embracing the theme ‘”‘Strength in Diversity, Creativity in Unity,’ the event will follow the Bengali parliamentary debating format, with debates held in the Business Faculty building.

With participation from around fifty universities and schools nationwide, the festival will feature four debate rounds on the first day and culminate with a closing ceremony on the second day. A panel of over thirty distinguished adjudicators will oversee the competition.

Established in 1996, CUDS has long been fostering debate culture, aiming to enhance students’ intellectual and creative development. This year’s festival is financially supported by the Presidency University, with BSRM as the associate sponsor, Kurmure as the snacks partner, Starship Mango as the beverage partner, Ama Coffee as the coffee partner, and the MBA Association University of Chittagong (MAUC) as the strategic partner. We also receive comprehensive support from the Department of Narcotics Control.

The organizing committee is led by Mehedi Hasan Emon, General Secretary of CUDS, with joint coordinators including Joint Secretary Rajiur Rahman Arif, Press and Publication Secretary Mehedi Hasan Mahim, and Events and Logistics Secretary Abdullah Chowdhury.
