The MBA Association at the University of Chittagong (MAUC) successfully organized ‘Leadership Catalyst Program (LCP): Empowering Future Change-Makers,’ to foster professional growth, enhance leadership capabilities, and build lasting networks among students, club executives, and alumni.
The program took place on 4 January 2025 in the auditorium of the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of Chittagong.
The event commenced with an inspiring opening speech by Mohammed Mayeen Uddin, the MAUC’s organizing secretary. Esteemed guests included ANM Wazed Ali, general manager of Abul Khair Group and the MAUC’s general secretary, as well as one of its founding members and other distinguished life members of the association.
A key highlight of the program was the engaging panel discussion featuring leading industry professionals: Asif Ahmed, procurement associate at UNDP; Md Rakibul Islam, head of people and culture at mPower Social Enterprises Ltd; Ahashanujjaman Shujan, head of people and culture at Synesis IT PLC; Md Abdus Samad Hemal, assistant vice president at MetLife Bangladesh; and Arif Iftekhar, trade finance specialist at Euro Exim Bank.
These esteemed panelists shared valuable insights on the ever-evolving demands of global and local job markets, emphasizing strategic communication, networking, and adaptability as key competencies for career success.
“The biggest challenge between employees and employers is effective communication. Cultivating this skill from student life is crucial for a seamless transition into professional roles,” remarked Mohammed Mayeen Uddin, organizing secretary of MAUC.
Building on this perspective, ANM Wazed Ali, general secretary of MAUC, noted, “In today’s dynamic professional landscape, individuals must not only adapt, but also excel in diverse cultural and organizational environments.”
Reflecting on the program’s success, Mr. Wazed remarked, “The program exemplifies our 30-year commitment to empowering future leaders and fostering a culture of excellence.”
Coordinated by Mustafa Tanzim Jawad and Shanzid Ahmed Shaon, the event marks the beginning of new collaborative engagements with industry leaders through future training initiatives.
