Chinese company Join Win (Bangladesh) Company Ltd has announced its plan to invest $10.73 million in establishing a shoe accessories manufacturing industry in the Bepza Economic Zone of Bangladesh.
The factory will be equipped with advanced automation technology and is expected to produce seven million pairs of various shoe accessory items annually, including polyurethane (PU) insoles, PU midsoles, PU outsoles, and rubber outsole insoles.
The officials of the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza) have revealed that the company will cater to global brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, and Caterpillar, manufacturing these items for their footwear lines.
This venture is expected to generate employment opportunities for approximately 900 Bangladeshi nationals, contributing to the country’s workforce.
An agreement was signed between Ali Reza Mazid, Bepza’s member for investment promotion, and Xu Tiehui, the managing director of Join Win (Bangladesh) Company.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, the executive chairman of Bepza.
Join Win is a well-established company that has been in operation for three decades, running six factories across different countries.
This new investment in Bangladesh signifies the company’s expansion and commitment to furthering its presence in the global market for shoe accessories.
