During an official visit to China, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina witnessed the signing of six significant agreements worth a total of $280 million between Billion10 Communications Limited, EB Solutions Limited, and several leading Chinese business groups.
Rafiur Rahman Khan Yousufzai Sunny, managing director of Billion10 Communications Limited and EB Solutions Limited, signed the agreements in the presence of Prime Minister Hasina. These collaborations include partnerships with CHTC (HengYang) Intelligent EV Co. Ltd to manufacture electric vehicles and with Ningbo SunEast Solar Co. Ltd to establish a solar park in Sylhet.
Additional agreements were made with HeSheng (Hoshine) Silicon Industry Co. Ltd for investments in the renewable energy sector and with Zhongke Guorui (Zhuhai) New Material Technology Co. Ltd for waste lubricant oil refining. EB Solutions Limited also partnered with Hongji Intelligent Transport Co. Ltd on the Dhaka City Mobike Project and with Ningbo Sharing New Energy Technology Co. Ltd on smart cold chain logistics solutions.
Rafiur Rahman Khan Yousufzai Sunny emphasized the significance of these agreements, stating that his companies will manufacture electric buses, private cars, and other vehicles in Bangladesh. He expressed confidence that these projects would benefit both the Bangladeshi and Chinese economies while contributing to resource development.
Sunny added that the Chinese companies involved are eager to invest in Bangladesh, ensuring that the promised investments will come to fruition. A total of 16 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed on July 9 in Beijing, marking a major step forward in economic cooperation between the two countries.
