The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (Bida) has announced plans to tackle challenges faced by Korean and other foreign investors.

They aim to streamline services through the One Stop Service (OSS) portal. Bida revealed this initiative during a seminar titled ‘Investment Services using OSS (One Stop Service) Portal.’ The event was a collaboration between Bida and the Korea-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KBCCI).

The seminar took place at Sheraton Dhaka on March 6. The seminar is supported by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and co-sponsored by Eastern Bank PLC.

The move aims to provide quicker and more efficient services to investors in Bangladesh. This collaboration reflects the ongoing efforts to strengthen economic ties between Bangladesh and Korea. Both countries recognize the importance of facilitating investments to foster mutual growth and development.

The seminar highlighted the significance of seamless and prompt services for investors. It emphasized the role of technology in enhancing the investment environment and promoting economic prosperity.

By addressing challenges faced by foreign investors, Bangladesh demonstrates its commitment to fostering a conducive business environment. The OSS portal serves as a pivotal tool in this endeavor, offering a centralized platform for investment-related services.

The presence of high-profile representatives from both Bangladesh and Korea underscores the significance of this initiative. It signifies a shared commitment to fostering a favorable investment climate and deepening bilateral relations.
