Algeria recently hosted the inaugural Sustainable Economic Forum (SEF), attracting more than 1,200 attendees, including global industry experts.
Conceived by Mohamed Skander, the forum aimed to foster collective action and realistic strategies to achieve sustainable development goals.
Representatives from 17 countries participated in the two-day event, including China, Italy, Tunisia, South Africa, France, and Egypt.
With an emphasis on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), SEF sought to encourage dialogue and agreements between stakeholders and governments.
Partnerships with organizations such as CREA, AHK Algerie, BNP Paribas, Huawei, and government ministries enriched the discussions.
SEF discussions centered on various critical topics like circular economy solutions, smart cities, renewable energy, responsible tourism, resource conservation, and corporate social responsibility. Mohamed Skander highlighted the role of industries in contributing to environmental betterment.
