The government of Bangladesh will honor 77 exporters with the prestigious National Export Trophy for their remarkable contributions to the country’s export earnings for the fiscal year 2021-22.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will personally hand over the trophies at the award ceremony on Sunday at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka.
Commerce Minister Ahasanul Islam Titu announced this at a press conference on Saturday, held at the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) building. Commerce Secretary Md Selim Uddin and Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Vice Chairman Md Anwar Hossain also attended the event.
Among the awardees, Rifat Garments Ltd, a leading entity in the readymade garment (RMG) woven category, will receive the highest honor, the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy, for achieving the highest export earnings in FY 2021-22.
The awards will be distributed across 28 categories, acknowledging the diverse sectors contributing to the country’s export landscape. The accolades will be presented in three tiers: gold, silver, and bronze, reflecting the recipients’ varying levels of export achievements.
